SOAS AD HOC REBETIKO BAND

We now have our very own rebetiko band in London. Created out of our
Rebetiko @ SOAS seminars, it’s a great bunch of people - about 30-strong at
the present time. Bouzouki, baglama, tzoura, guitar, santouri and singers.
The band meets for a jam session on the first Monday of every month in the
Horseshoe Pub, 24 Clerkenwell Close, London EC1 [Nearest tube: Farringdon].
The sessions are completely informal. Musicians, singers and dancers of all
levels are always welcome.

We are building a repertoire, and songbooks with musical notation are
available for those who want them.

The next sessions are on Monday 4 June and Monday 2 July. There is no charge for admission. Starting time is 8.30pm - do come and join us.
