I’ve been unable to decide since the last century whether this is the best Greek rock song ever, but it’s definitely one of the two.
You don’t like it aesthetically?
A more recent blues (or deep soul) song by one of my favourite singers:
O.V. Wright started out with gospel, which comes through in many of his songs:
Artemis’s, in the name of the Lazy One
It should have read “koupepia” ![]()
Koupepia = kebapia? Is that what you call dolmades?

Yes, koupepia are the Cypriot dish corresponding to Greek-Turkish dolmas. As for the etymology, the wiki points to Arabic. κουπέπι - Βικιλεξικό
I discovered this girl who does interesting things with the accordion through a post by Evgenios Voulgaris: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D-OgzGaNHA
We might as well give her name for anyone interested. She is Elianne van Ee. She graduated from the Conservatorium van Rotterdam in 2013 and completed a Master’s in World Music in 2023, specialising in maqam theory. She is a music teacher, plays the accordion and sings.
Masterpiece! What can one say about this song!
