From the Foreword to the Glossary:
“focusing on rare, idiomatic words and expressions that are borrowed from foreign languages, differ semantically from Standard Modern Greek or are corrupted in relation to it.
Also, for the most part, unknown to the general public”
If anyone considers that the Glossary’s existing entries do not meet the aforementioned criteria, I would be very happy for us to have a fruitful discussion. The same applies to any proposed entries for inclusion.
I would also find a “consultation” about the lyrics from which entries have been drawn very useful. I see, for example, L. Papadopoulos–M. Loïzos, Gatsos–Hatzidakis, Livaditis–Theodorakis, Tzavellas–Souyioul, Galanos–Xarchakos, Tsotou–Krimizakis, Giannakopoulos–Souyioul, etc., etc.
More generally, I would find a discussion about the designation “rebetiko” in the Glossary useful: what can our reader expect to find there from a terminological/thematic perspective? Could it also include entries that we do not encounter in “rebetiko” songs (this term itself being open to discussion), but also in δημοτικά, traditional, light popular songs, etc.?
